Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Statement of Publication Ethics
Buletin Statistika dan Aplikasi Terkini (BESTARI) is an academic journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of peer review. This statement explains the ethical actions involved in the publication of articles in this journal. These parties include authors, editors-in-chief, editorial team, reviewers, and the Institute for Research and Community Service of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (LPPM ITK).
Ethical Guidelines for Editors
The publication of articles in Buletin Statistika dan Aplikasi Terkini (BESTARI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of peer review. All articles must apply scientific methods and have a positive impact on the development of science in Indonesia. Therefore, it is important to agree on ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication of articles: authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the community.
Editorial Team of Buletin Statistika dan Aplikasi Terkini (BESTARI), handles journal ethics and its impacts at all stages of article publication. Advertising, reprints, or other commercial revenues related to the publication of an article should not influence editorial decisions.
Publication Decisions
The editor of the Latest Statistics and Applications Bulletin (BESTARI) is responsible for selecting articles submitted for review and conducting the follow-up process in the publication procedure. Review is done through a blind review process to maintain fairness. Editors are guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and applicable legal requirements to avoid libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may also discuss with reviewers in making decisions.
Fair Play
When evaluating submitted articles, editors must do so without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor-in-chief and other editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted article to other evaluators. Editors must also not disclose information about reviewers, other editorial advisers, or the publisher.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Unpublished articles must not be used in an editor's research without the express written consent of the author. All information and ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Editors should not consider manuscripts based on their particular interests, such as competitive results, collaborations, or relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions.
Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
Timeliness
Each selected and qualified reviewer evaluates the articles. Reviewers must meet academic requirements and have expertise in their field of study. They must also be able to meet the agreed deadline for each article review. If the deadline given is considered unmet, the reviewer must notify the editor responsible for finding another available reviewer.
Confidentiality
Every article received is treated as a confidential document. Submitted manuscripts must not be shown to or discussed with others.
Standards of Objectivity
Evaluation of articles is carried out objectively. Reviewers should present their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should be able to identify relevant published work. Any statement of observation, derivation, or argument previously reported should be accompanied by appropriate credit or citation. The reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the paper being reviewed and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Ethical Guidelines for Authors
An author has made a significant contribution to the concept, design, implementation, or interpretation of the reported research. Other contributors may be listed as co-authors. The primary author must be sure to acknowledge any co-authors. The primary author and co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of their paper, and have agreed to its publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
The Latest Statistics and Applications Bulletin (BESTARI) considers plagiarism a serious violation. Authors who intentionally quote or use material from published works or articles without proper references will be blacklisted. Therefore, authors must ensure the originality of the articles they write. If authors use the work of others, either in whole or in part, they must pay attention to how to cite it.
Data Access and Retention
Authors must provide the raw data related to their manuscripts for editorial and non-educational purposes.
